When the accident happens and the high-pressure hose or oil pipe in the telescopic oil cylinder circuit of the boom is burst or cut off, the balance valve in the hydraulic circuit will work to lock the working oil from the lower chamber of the oil cylinder, so that the crane will retract itself, so as to ensure the safety of operation. If the boom cannot retract, check the oil quantity in the oil tank first. When all mechanisms are in working condition and the telescopic cylinder is fully extended, if the oil quantity is insufficient, the hydraulic pump will be affected and the boom cannot retract. At this time, retract the luffing cylinder.

Fault Analysis:

(1) The damping hole of balance valve is blocked or the spring in balance valve is deformed.

(2) When the telescopic cylinder is running, there will be noise between piston and cylinder barrel, piston rod and guide sleeve, and there will be creeping and vibration.

(3) Small gap between each telescopic arm and nylon sleeve, distortion of box telescopic arm, large deflection error, poor lubrication of sliding block between telescopic arm and basic arm and serious wear of sliding block will make noise.

(4) The noise of the steel rope telescopic system may be caused by the friction between the steel rope and the telescopic arm or between the pulley and the shaft.
